Senior Associate Broker
Shay Zach was born and raised in Israel, where he served as a Tank Commander in the Israeli Defense Force. He came to the United States in 2003 to settle and pursue a career. Very quickly he began working in commercial real estate as an Acquisition Manager for a private firm in Queens, NY.
Mr. Zach joined EPIC (formerly named Itzhaki Properties) in December 2004 as the Managing Director in charge of all sales activities and daily management. From the very beginning he focused on conquering the boroughs, as he saw that most competitors were specializing in Manhattan only. He later became a Managing Partner and spearheaded the company’s investment sales in the Bronx. Mr. Zach has been involved in more than 100 transactions with an aggregate value of approximately $180,000,000. During 2006 Mr. Zach began building a sales team, which has been concentrating on the Upper West Side of Manhattan and the Boroughs of Queens and Bronx, resulting in the sale of the largest hotel deal to date in Long Island City (Queens). He is a past recipient of the Real Estate Weekly Rising Stars 2007 Award and the Real Estate Weekly Top Producers 2009 Award.
As a Partner and top producer for the company, Mr. Zach continues to demonstrate superior leadership abilities and exceptional teamwork skills. In fact, the majority of transactions he originated for EPIC were handled with the participation of at least one other agent, exemplifying a team oriented approach. Mr. Zach is currently working towards obtaining his “Real Estate Finance and Investment Certificate” at NYU.
Shay is also heavily involved in the affordable housing niche market. He has brokered over 10 such transactions in the last 3 years, and helped many organizations acquire their first development in NYC.
Mr. Zach currently resides in Williamsburg, Brooklyn with his wife.
